Hello, I'm Hope. Here is a little bit about my background. I earned my Master of Social Work degree from Tulane University in 1988. Prior to that, I received my Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Pepperdine University in 1986. Before opening my counseling practice, I spent over a decade providing counseling services and groups to adults, teens and children in various social service agencies. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Colorado. I am also a Certified Grief Counseling Specialist.
I believe that we all have the ability to live a fulfilled and balanced life. I help people access their strengths and guide them in making choices to bring about this healing and balance. I have seen such amazing growth and transformation in my clients. It is a privilege to work with them.
My approach to therapy includes a combination of talking and creative types of expression depending upon my client's needs and preferences. Some adults enjoy and gain a lot of personal insight and understanding by expressing themselves through art, games and role-play exercises. Please check out my therapy pages to get more information about the different types of therapy that are available to my clients.
My office is located in the historic east side old-town section of Longmont. It’s in an early 1900’s house that has been reconverted into offices. Many of my clients mention that my office feels very safe, comfy, warm and inviting.
